The shock signing of unknown Sydney trio DMA’s to the I OH YOU roster raised a lot of questions: Who are these guys? How did they manage to land on one of the coolest labels in the country? And what’s with those fookin’ English accents? Their debut EP release finally fills in a few of the blanks. Soaring opener Feels Like 37 confirms the Oasis allusions suggested on Delete, with Tommy O’s slacker Mancunian vocal resonating strongly with Liam Gallagher. Your Low takes an early Blur bent, while Play It Out and The Plan lose momentum but stay firmly rooted in Brit-pop territory. Still having not given a single interview, DMA’s remain shrouded in mystery. One thing’s for sure though: they’re rock‘n’roll stars.
