Frank Ocean To Press Charges Against Chris Brown Over Brawl

The Linsday Lohan of rap music, Chris Brown, is yet again in trouble with the law – this time for allegedly assaulting up-and-coming R&B singer, Frank Ocean.
The altercation occurred on the night Sun Jan 27 at a Los Angeles recording studio, Westlake Studio’s car park.
According to TMZ, Ocean and his crew allegedly instigated the fight by confronting Brown as he was leaving the studio telling Brown that, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot”. When Brown extended his hand to Ocean, one of Ocean’s crew attacked Brown’s, starting a brawl than ended with both singers throwing punches.
However, considering that Brown wasn’t present when police arrived, with Ocean filing a report that Brown was responsible for the attack, things don’t look too positive for Brown. Although no charges have been made yet, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told Reuters that Ocean “is desirous of prosecution in this incident”.
Another strike against Brown’s name will be in violation of his five-year probation term for his 2009 highly-publicised offense against then-girlfriend Rihanna. If this story seems all too familiar, it’s because last June Brown was involved in a brawl in a New York nightclub against Drake and his entourage.
You may also recall the highly-entertaining Twitter war between Brown and Ocean in June 2011, which Tyler, The Creator also weighed on in for Team Ocean.
Since the incident, Brown posted cryptic messages on his Instagram to focus on work and “not negativity” before posting this drawing of Jesus on the Cross that was captioned “Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!”… Not surprisingly, the image has since been deleted and Brown’s Instagram account has been switched to private, cutting off over 2 million followers (much like his Twitter account was closed after the Rihanna incident).
While Brown deals with a legal and PR crisis, Ocean’s biggest problem was when he Tweeted, “Cut my finger now I can’t play w/two hands at the Grammys”, for which both artists are nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Brown’s Fortune and Ocean’s Channel Orange.
That looks promising. Watch this space.
