Edward Snowden is touring Australia (sort of)

Words by James McCann April 6, 2016

Edward Snowden, the most controversial whistle-blower not to don an umpires uniform, is set to embark on a speaking tour of Australia. He will, however, not be present in the flesh.

Heralded by many as a champion for individual freedom, Snowden has little freedom of his own. He is currently seeking asylum in Russia, and finds himself unable to leave the country for fear of being extradited to the United States.

In lieu of the man himself, he will appear via video link.

Tickets are available here.
