Jessica Clark wins Rip It Up Young Artist Award, SALA 2015

Words by Ilona Wallace July 3, 2015

Every year, Rip It Up awards a $500 prize to the best young artist (under 30) presenting at SALA.

This year, the entries – from Liam Mugavin, Kirstie McGregor and more – were of exemplary quality, showcasing the vast and varied visual talent emerging in South Australia.

With respect to all entrants, this year’s recipient of Rip It Up‘s Young Artist Award is photographer Jessica Clark.

Clark’s work demonstrates a vivid love of colour, and the ability to capture and balance the beauty of this in her subjects. From still-life to action shots – particularly the stunning Pisces Pash – Clark brings a vivacious quality to everything her lens snares.

To see more of Clark’s work, visit her Facebook page or website.

Clark will be exhibiting her work at Naomi Murrell’s flagship store, Shop 5, Ebenezer Place, Adelaide for the duration of SALA.
