Jimmy Carr to bring stand up tour to Australia

Words by Walter Marsh September 30, 2015

Slick and occasionally controversial UK comedian Jimmy Carr is set to scoot on over to Australia early next year for a string of stand up shows.

Carr, who is still perhaps best known in Australia for his appearances as a regular foil to Stephen Fry and Alan Davies on QI, has a huge following in the UK for his nothing-is-sacred live shows. He previously toured Australia for the first time in 2014 but managed to pass over Adelaide.

Not to worry, because he’ll be hitting Thebarton Theatre on Saturday, January 30, giving Carr plenty of opportunity to drop some typically shit-stirring tweets and brush up on South Australian history after his last visit.

C’mon Jimmy, the Adelaide 36ers have fought bravely for years to ensure there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind when the City of Adelaide was established.
