If you’ve been holding out on what to see at SALA – or overwhelmed by the immense 2014 program – check out SALA On Show this Sunday, August 24, in Unley.
From 10.30am to 5pm across the Unley Shopping Centre and Soldiers’ Memorial Garden (Unley Rd), artists will be displaying and selling their work.
Twenty artists will be stationed throughout the Garden, and street art collective Milkcrate Culture will be keeping the art alive in true SALA fashion.
Among the artists on show this weekend are Emma Hack, Shannon O’Neill and residents at Mint Artist Studios.
Aside from visual art, there will be performing arts, with local musicians playing in the Garden’s rotunda.
Set times for SALA On Show:
11.30am The Timbers
1.15pm Max Savage
3pm Delia Obst
Live performance will be interspersed with DJ sets from visual artist Roy Ananda.
The full-day event wouldn’t be complete without treats, so alongside the bricks-and-mortar Unley eateries will be La Cantina Co, ChurrOz and Carnevale Coffee. SALA’s wine sponsor Sidewood Wines (as tasted by The Timbers!) will be onsite providing SALA-themed beverages.
