Are you an artist, artist-run initiative or arts collective and want to get involved in next year’s St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Port Adelaide? If this sounds like you, the Vitalstatistix Waterside venue is your blank canvas.
For the inaugural Port Adelaide Laneway Festival, Vitalstatistix and Laneway Festival teamed up with Format Collective and turned Waterside into Port Land, a thriving hub of visual art showcasing the likes of Katlyn Francis, Josh Kathigits, Tim Tuppence and Nick Moss, as well as DIY music luminaries Old Mate, Wireheads and Bruff Superior.
In 2015 they’re throwing submissions open to the rest of the SA arts community, seeking proposals for use of the versatile space during next year’s Laneway Festival on Friday February 6. At this stage they’re just looking for expressions of interest in a one-page submission outlining the basic idea for the venue and resources needed to make it happen. If you’re interested, you don’t have a lot of time as submissions close on Monday September 15.
Please note they are not seeking band submissions or someone to program the music in Waterside – just some kick ass artwork to prettify the venue.
For more information and to submit your proposal, head to the Vitalstatistix website.
