‘Vikings’ star Clive Standen to appear at Oz Comic-Con

Words by Dasha Romanowski February 24, 2016

Vikings star Clive Standen has been added to the growing lineup of this year’s Oz Comic-Con, which will take place in April.

The anticipated fourth season of the historical drama premiered last week and will feature 20 episodes in total, ten of which will air in the first half of the year and the rest in the latter half. Season four will have a strong focus on the rising tensions between Standen’s character Rollo and his fierce warrior brother Ragnar, making the April Comic-Con date the perfect time for fans to get hyped about the remainder of the season and aim all burning spoiler-related queries at the British heart-throb.

Standen is best-known for his appearances on television, and has starred in shows including Camelot, Robin Hood, and Doctor Who. He has also featured in several films including Everest alongside names like Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Keira Knightley and Jake Gyllenhaal, and 2013 Viking-themed action film Hammer of the Gods with James Cosmo and Charlie Bewley (seems the man can’t get enough of that Norse mythology). The Hollywood Reporter also writes that Standen will star in NBC’s upcoming Taken prequel portraying a young Bryan Mills (originally played by Liam Neeson), the retired CIA operative on a mission to save his kidnapped daughter, and how he attained his skills in badassery.

Standen will join previously announced Comic-Con guests Lucy Lawless and Hudson Leick of Xena, Jim Beaver of Supernatural, and Liam Garrigan and Christie Laing of Once Upon A Time.

Oz Comic-Con will take place at the Adelaide Showgrounds on April 9 – 10, tickets via ozcomiccon.com
