You may remember, a few weeks ago, when Shia LaBeouf livestreamed himself watching all his own movies, without stopping, in a public cinema. Well, he has followed up his wacky live internet performance art project in the best possible way – with another wacky live internet performance art project.
Entitled #touchmysoul, Shia (and his artistic collaborators Rönkkö & Turner) are sitting at the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology in Liverpool, seven hours a day, taking calls from around the world. Between 11am – 6pm GMT for the next three days you cal ring on +44 (0)151 808 0771 and do some soul touching. Beware though: it’s an international number, so soul touching might get pricey.
The three artists are editing a word document while they get spirit-fondled, and are putting that online too. The document seems to be a journal of all the calls they’re getting. Some are funny:
Others are heartfelt:

We attest, first hand, that sending vibes to Shia, and having him assure us that he was sending them back, was incredible. One felt all warm and gooey, and as though everything was going to be alright. When we asked him how best he would like his soul touched, he giggled, and said ‘any way you can’, and it felt like a hug.
Call him yourself, and watch the goings on over at the website.
