Ladies Advice for Ladies: DE-MODERNIZING THE MODERN LADY

3 3

If you are a LADY that wants LADY advice from some LADIES, then this is the show for you.

Ladies Advice for Ladies is a comedic act performed by two conservative ladies, Florence and Emily. From the get-go, this duo entertained and amused the audience through sly lady jokes about feminism and the modern day lady. Dressed head to toe in corsets, conservative hemlines, and long kicker-bockers, the clever pair give the audience advice on how to do lady things.

Throughout the hour, the ladies switch it up as they perform different acts such as poetry, dancing, and some hula-hoop action. There are may times the ladies walk into the crowd and converse with audience members, so this show is definitely not for a shy and conservative group.

Well rehearsed and thought out, Ladies Advice for Ladies is a clever performance which is an eye-opener to how the 50’s and 60’s really treated women. Taking this context and turning it into a comedy is pure genius, and these girls did ladies all around the world proud.

I would strongly suggest that this show should be watched on a ladies night. Throughout the show, the performance is strong and steady, but finishes with a hilarious big bang that will leave you in stitches.

Ladies Advice for Ladies continues at the Aperitif Bar and Salisbury Secret Garden until Friday, March 4.
