Rip It Up

A look Inside

The Inglewood Inn

Words by Staff Writer March 1, 2016

Despite this historic pub having undergone massive changes over the past decade, the Inglewood Inn remains true to its history.

First established in 1857 as a stopping place for weary travelers along the then new North Eastern Road, this character rich and much loved local favourite is well worth the 30 minute trip from the Adelaide CBD.

Replete with amazing views of the Para River and the surrounding Adelaide hills, the Inglewood Inn is the ideal place to catch up with mates, enjoy an evening meal, or stage your next social function.

The Inglewood really is the ideal spot to host your next function. For smaller more intimate gatherings guests can make the most of the site’s grand beer deck or historic parlour, and for larger get togethers such as weddings a 100 seated function room is available.

The wine list is choc-full of wonderful local options, and with craft beer selections from Lobethal’s iconic Bierhaus and the Paracombe Premium Perry, this historic watering hole has a drinks list that is proudly South Australian.

No matter whether you like classic pub grub or prefer a more gourmet dining experience, head chef Brett Murray has got you covered.

Featuring an extensive brekkie menu made up of perfectly executed staples, plus a great selection of quirkier options like Belgium choc chip waffles with chocolate topping, the Inglewood is open bright and early on both Saturdays and Sundays and provides the ideal setting for a relaxed morning meal.

When it comes to lunch and dinner Brett and his team serve up some beautifully presented and tasty options. Featuring a contemporary selection of pizzas, burgers, salads and fusion dishes, the food at the Inglewood is a world away from your typical pub fair.

The Inglewood is the perfect place to unwind after a hard day at the office. Relax on the beer deck; soak up the sounds of the local bird life; enjoy some of South Australia’s finest food, wine and beer and take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
