AC/DC’s upcoming Australian tour has just been beefed up, with the rock titans revealing their two supports for the run of arena shows.
Sweden’s most impeccably suited punk rock n rollers The Hives will join Angus, Brian and whoever else plays in the band these days. It’ll be their first major Australian show since stepping up to the plate at the last Big Day Out back in 2014 when Blur made a late withdrawal.
“When we were 6 years old in Fagersta, Sweden we were struck for the first time by the lightning that is Rock n Roll,” The Hives said of scoring the gig. “That lightning was AC/DC. Now many years later we find ourselves in a successful rock n roll band and going on tour with them. It couldn’t be better if we made it up. Life rules.”
Also playing will be Melbournites Kingswood, who swung through Adelaide back in March as part of an exhaustive national tour.
They’ll play Adelaide Oval on Saturday, November 21, with tickets available via acdctour.com.au.
